THE GENIE'S TEA - JAPANESE HAND PAINTED DUET

THE GENIE'S TEA - JAPANESE HAND PAINTED DUET

This enchanting antique porcelain duet was hand-painted in Japan. The artistry is a refined Asian aesthetic, with elegant scenes that unfold across the porcelain, detailed with Satsuma roses and geishas. Backstamped NIPPON with a "T" for the Takito Co. which operated from 1880's to 1948.  This quaint sugar bowl with lid, paired with its matching creamer is believed to have been produced between 1891-1921.

This one lends itself elegantly to a tea ritual.

Every heirloom in the Genie’s Tea Collection is chosen not only for its beauty, but to encourage you to invite yesterday’s craftsmanship into today’s ritual. Rather than resting behind glass, this heirloom is offered to be experienced again. Tea, conversation, stillness, and laughter, it begins another chapter, proving that the most treasured objects are those that continue to create beautiful impressions.

This duo arrives with one ounce of our organic Genie’s Tea, in a muslin bag complete with a signature tag and a touch of the Genie’s “whimsy.” Tucked inside, you’ll find a scroll detailing brewing rituals, health benefits, and ways to savor and engage with the tea.
